Doha, May 23 (QNA) - President of the Qatar Basketball Federation, Mohammed Saad Al Mughaiseeb, hailed the HH the Amir Cup final between Al Arabi and Al Sadd as the best conclusion to the 2023-24 season.
Speaking to the media, Al Mughaiseeb commended the high technical and competitive levels during this season with the majority of clubs having shown overwhelming performances.
He congratulated Al Arabi Club for securing the title this evening after a 88-77 victory over Al Sadd at the Al Gharafa Sports Club Hall.
Al Mughaiseeb added that the development of all clubs and their competition for local titles this season would serve the national team, which is preparing for the 2027 Basketball World Cup, due to be hosted by State of Qatar for the first time in the Middle East and North Africa region.
For his part, Secretary General of the Qatar Basketball Federation, Saadoun Al Kuwari, hailed the distinguished performance of the two teams, and the heavy attendance of fans. (QNA)
