Doha, August 13 (QNA) - Here is a summary of local news released Monday: - HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani sent Monday a cable of condolences to HH Amir of the sisterly State of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on the death of HH Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Salem Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah.

- HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa met on Monday with HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Bahrain Sultan bin Ali Al Khater.
- HE Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al-Sulaiti underlined Monday the State of Qatar's great interest in enhancing the status of women as one of the fundamental pillars in achieving Qatar National Vision 2030.
- HE Vice President of the Presidential Council of the State of Libya Musa Al Koni and HE Vice President of the Presidential Council of the State of Libya Abdullah Al Lafi met separately with HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Libya Khalid Mohammed bin Zabin Al Dosari.
- Qatar Charity (QC), through its office in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, has delivered 21,500 food parcels to residents of the Gaza Strip via 39 convoys in collaboration with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO).

- The volume of real estate trading in sale contracts registered with the Real Estate Registration Department at the Ministry of Justice in July 2024, amounted to QR 1,105,135,825.
- Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding Company's (a Qatari public shareholding company) net profits declined by 32 percent to reach QR 398.380 million in the first half of 2024, compared to a net profit of QR 584.852 million in the same period last year.
- The Doha Insurance Group's Net Profit saw a rise by 36.25 percent in the first half (H1) 2024, reaching a Net Profit of QR 110,991,280 in comparison to Net Profit QR 81,456,192 for the same period of the previous year.
- Industries Qatar's (a Qatari public shareholding company) net profits increased by 12 percent in the first half of this year, reaching QR2.331 billion, compared to a net profit of QR2.088 billion for the same period of the previous year.
- The Cultural Village Foundation-Katara has revealed a list of best art works participating in the 10th edition of the Katara Prize for Arabic Novel, whose number reaches 36 novels and critical studies that are qualified for winning the prize. (QNA)
