Doha, November 10 (QNA) - Old Doha Port CEO and Chairperson of the Organizing Committee of the Qatar Boat Show 2024, Mohammed Abdulla Al Mulla, expressed his pleasure with the success of the four-day Qatar Boat Show that incredibly garnered a record turnout from visitors and enthusiasts of water sports.
He added that the event superbly highlighted the inveterate maritime legacy and the promising future of the maritime sector in Qatar, underlining that this success would have never been achieved without the extraordinary contributions from partners who had an instrumental role in this success, affirming that he looks forward to organizing the upcoming edition with substantial ambitions.
Al Mulla emphasized that building on this year's success, there will be an expansion in marine brands showcased in the new edition, in addition to reinforcing recreational and celebratory activities by combining further innovations and cutting-edge technologies, with the commitment to offering more innovative and superb experiences to be always ingrained in memories within the upcoming new edition.
Additionally, the event showcased over 100 yachts and boats, 80 percent of which were from the state-of-the-art models of 2024, and drew roughly 495 international, regional, and local brands and firms.
In a statement, Old Doha Port emphasized that the show significantly consolidated its standing as a major global event in the maritime sector, positioning itself as one of the foremost exhibitions in the region by capitalizing on a vast area of over 250,000 square meters.
This was particularly evident as the show showcased an exceptional array of boats and yachts worth over QR 1 billion, along with the participation of seven prominent members of the Superyacht Builders Association (SYBAss).
The event culminated in the signing of numerous deals and memoranda of cooperation between the participating entities, to further strengthen the State of Qatar's position as a leading maritime tourism hub and a host of global events, in addition to offering invaluable opportunities for communication underpinnings for forging new partnerships among international trade brands and local entities.
Old Doha Port professionally hosted this event after gathering entrepreneurs of maritime sector from all over the world in an extraordinary experience that enhanced the State of Qatar's commitment to advancing maritime tourism and its standing as a leading maritime hub in the region. (QNA)
